Anchorage can be obtained in depths of about 17 m, sand, moderate holding ground, 0. 9 mile ESE of Torre di Porto Corallo. The following marks can be used to gain the anchorage: The alignment (291. 5°) of Torre di Porto Corallo with the ruins of Castello Gibas; Torre di Capo San Lorenzo just obscured by land. When approaching from N the coast between Capo San Lorenzo and Torre Corallo should be given a wide berth. When approaching from the S mariners should beware of sandbanks extending up to 230 m from the shore.
