Orebic is the biggest settlement on Peljesac peninsula. It offers the most of the shops, restaurants, bars, clubs and it's the economic and administrative center of Peljesac, and also the heart of 'Peljesac riviera' - area with several seaside villages which make the most popular destination in Dubrovnik county aside city of Dubrovnik itself.
Among tourists and visitors - Orebic is best known as family destination. Nice pebble and sandy beaches, plenty of good accommodation and entertainment facilities surrounded by still unspoiled and beautiful nature. Orebic is also proud of it's rich history, specialy the fact that it was once home of the fleet of 90 great sailing vessel merchant fleet sailing the seas of the world. Inheritance old captains and ship owners left us can be seen in the old part of Orebić - beautiful architecture of old mansions and gardens, maritime museum with artefacts from old sailing ships and valuable old documents.
You can enjoy Oreibc starting from the most beautiful beach in the region - Trstenica, along the seaside promenade past centuries old captain's houses, restaurants offering local food and famous Peljesac wines, trough the walking paths in the shade of protected forest of pinetrees and cypreses, to the belvedere by the monastery and the church of Our lady of angels. If you are fit enough, you can go past the monastery, by marked walking paths all the way to the top of the St. Elliah hill (961m) - towering the whole broader region as the highest peak.
