Sailing Holidays in Tkon

Tkon is an old fishing village that occupies a total of 15 square km in the southern part of the island of Pašman and several small islands scattered throughout the Murter Sea. It is also a berthing point for the ferry route Biograd - Tkon from where there are a series of sandy and rocky coves, and the nearby hill offer an unforgettable view of the nearby islands and Kornati. The Benedictine Monastery of sv. Kuzma and Damjan [St. Cosmas and Damian] on Ćokovac hill from the 12th century is a real attraction for tourists. In the shade of old olive trees and pine forests, there are two private campsites and right beside the sea, with two sandy beaches, and just 2 km away from Tkon is FFK Sovinje campsite. In the homely setting of taverns and restaurants, traditional dishes are prepared with a glass of local brandy, wine and dried figs - Dalmatian prosciutto, cheese, lamb and seafood prepared under an iron bell. The beginning of the season is marked by the event Latin idro, an old sailing regatta in the Pašman channel.
