With local knowledge anchorage can be obtained off Sori in depths of about 15 m, weed; further offshore, in depths of 20 m or more, the bottom becomes rocky. The bottom is rocky and unfit for anchorage between Torre del Punta Legano, a dark square tower standing amongst pine trees 450 m SSW of Pieve Ligure (44°22′5N, 9°05′7E), which is not easily identified, and the W part of Sori.
