Terracina is primarily a fishing port which also provides local ferry services and small craft facilities; the port dates from the Roman period. Anchorage can be obtained in depths of 5 to 15 m, sand, good holding ground, E of the harbour. Mariners should note the prohibited area containing a votive statue.
