A sand-hidden surprise among the bare hills on the road to Vathia Tenaro, on the southwestern tip of the Mani peninsula.If you come early in the summer season you will likeley meet the occasional pair of Greek or German bikers, but during the high season campers are frequent. The beach is beautiful, with sand and pebbles, while the lunar landscape around it adds to the charm. The net for beach volley and the Greek flag on the sand gives a surreal touch, especially when the beach is relatively empty, and the landscape seems to be waiting for Theo Angelopoulos to discover. On the hill above the beach you will find a couple of taverns and rented rooms.
