Palairos is a small and relatively shallow harbor in the Greek mainland, some nine miles by sea, east of the south end of the Lefkada canal. It also lies barely a mile north of the harbor and the Vounaki marina, the main sun sail charter base in this part of Greece.

The harbor provides berthing for 12 to 15 yachts in depths of three to four meters along its breakwater. Shelter is good in the prevailing NW winds, although there can sometimes be katabatic winds from the mountains to the east.
