Sailing Holidays in Archaeological Museum of Kea
The Archaeological Museum of Kea is located in the entrance of Ioulida village near the central square. The building was constructed in 1970 and hosts findings from excavations in the island. Mainly, there are findings from four ancient towns of Kea: Ioulis, Karthea, Korissia and Poiessa. The collections are separated in two categories, the pre-historic collection and the Historic collection where visitors can see parts of the ancient temple of Athena and of the pediment with scenes from the fight of Amazons. There are, also, marble statues, ceramic artifacts, ancient coins and columns.
