Otočić Sveti Marko (45°15′N 14°34′E), close off Rt Šilo in the NW entrance to Tihi Kanal, is barren, rocky and whitish in colour. It rises steeply at the SE side but becomes level NW. The island is a good mark for the whole of Riječki Zaljev.
