Cinquale is a small craft haven on the N bank of Fiume Cinquale. The mouth of the river is protected by two breakwaters extending approximately 75 m SW from each bank. Shoal depths make the entrance dangerous, even in light onshore winds. Mariners should also beware of the structure of the SE breakwater. The NW breakwater carries the rails for the dredger and is without fendering.
