Sailing Holidays in Seno del Campese

Seno del Campese, a wide bay with the village of Campese at its head, lies between Punta delle Secche and Punta del Faraglione; Il Faraglione a tall pillar of rock lies close off the headland and easily identified. Torre del Campese (42°22′1N, 10°52′9E) a large, round tower with grey walls and a red roof stands on a small rocky peninsular at the NE end of Spiaggia del Campese, the sandy beach fronting the village. Good anchorage can be obtained in depths of about 15 m off Spiaggia del Campese. Torre del Campese bearing 061° and Poggio della Pagana bearing 135° are a useful guide to the anchorage. Smaller vessels can obtain anchorage closer inshore, in depths of about 7 m, using the same marks. The pylons of a disused iron ore transporter stand close inland.
