A rocky and generally steep-sided island surmounted by a round tower. The island lies 0.6 WSW of the outer rocks of Scogli Porcellini, which extends 650 m W of Punta Ala (12.2 miles ESE). A spit with depths of less than 2 m over it extends 90 m E from the islet. The passage between Scogli Porcellini and Scoglio della Sparviero should only be attempted with local knowledge.
