Golfo della Botte, a wide bay, extends NNE from Punta de Pulpito (42°35′4N, 10°03′4E) to Punta del Marchese. The shore of the bay is fringed by a bank extending up to 370 m offshore with depths of less than 10 m over it. Anchorage can be obtained in depths of about 12 m, sand and weed, 750 m E of Punta del Pulpito
