Porto Malfatano is a narrow, shallow inlet on the E side of Capo Malfatano. The shore of the bay extending 1. 2 miles E of Capo Malfatano is barren and has the appearance of an area of desert. Temporary anchorage can be obtained in depths of about 15 m, sand and weed, 450 m ENE of Torre Malfatano (38°53′2N, 8°48′1E). With local knowledge small vessels can obtain anchorage within the mouth of the inlet.
