Porto Conte is a large inlet which lies between Capo Caccia and Punta del Giglio, 2 miles ENE, affording sheltered anchorage. The inlet lies within the Capo Caccia-Isola Piana Protected Marine Area and must be approached through the Navigation Channel. Anchorage can be obtained in the following berths: In a depth of 23 m, sand weed and mud, good holding ground, on the alignment (054°) of Torre Buru (40°34′3N, 8°09′9E) and Torre Nuova (2. 2 miles NE). In a depth of 11 m, sand, weed and mud, good holding ground on the alignment (043°) of Capo Caccio signal tower (40°34′0N, 8°09′5E) with Torre Buru (800 m NE) and Torre Nuova bearing 098°. In a depth of 6 m, sand and weed, good holding ground, with Torre Nuova bearing 190°, 600 m distant.
