The small town lies NW of Punta Calich and to the W of the channel connecting Stagno di Calich with the sea. The seaward end of the channel is protected from the S by an angled mole extending E from Punta Calich. A second mole extends S from the E side of the entrance to Stagno di Calich forming much of the E side of the channel. A masonry bridge spans the channel N of the harbour. The entrance to the channel faces E, is 100 m wide and has depths of about 4 m. A small craft harbour lies close within the entrance.
