A harbour is situated at the village of Villanova close beneath the castle and enclosed by Molo di Levante, extending 70 m N, and Molo di Tramontana extending 280 m E from the shore. There are depths of about 2. 5 m in the harbour where anchorage may be obtained over a sand bottom. Local knowledge is required.
