Porto di Castro is a small harbour situated in a bay about 9 miles SSW of Otranto. Anchorage can be obtained about 0. 4 mile SW of Pizzo Mucurane in depths of about 14 m, mud. Coasters can anchor closer inshore in the middle of the bay in depths of about 7 to 8 m, sand, good holding.
