Pontile Di San Sabba (45°36′⋅7N 13°47′⋅2E), 216 m in length, is a pier aligned with the direction of the Bora, with berths on both sides. Old San Sabba pier, between root of Pontile San Sabba and SIOT terminal, consists of a concrete structure 80 m in length with a T-head. The pier is used by lighters and small tankers up to 3200 dwt. Vessels may secure heading in either direction at the S side, using the port anchor if berthed starboard side-to, but it is usual to berth starboard side-to at the N side. Special regulations are in force relating to berthing.
