Porticciolo de Bordighera is a small craft and yacht harbour close NE of Capo Sant’ Ampeglio. The town of Bordighera extends ESE from Ventimiglia to Capo Sant’ Ampeglio and consists of two districts; Borgata Nuova, the modern part W of Capo Sant’ Ampeglio, and the old town which lies on rising ground grouped about a belfry N of the headland. Anchorage can be obtained in depths of about 11 m, 400 m SW of Capo Sant’ Ampeglio. Small vessels can anchor closer inshore in depths of about 5 m. These anchorages are untenable with S wind or sea.
