Anchorage can be found off Porto Recanati, identified by the chimney of a cement works in the town centre, a square clock tower in the N part and a prominent white high rise building 40 m in height; avoiding a dangerous wreck which lies about 0. 6 mile offshore, and a prohibited anchorage area, the limits of which extending NE from a position on the shore about 1. 5 miles N of Porto Recanti in which submarine cables are laid. Used by coasters.
