Anchorage can be obtained in depths of about 13 m, good holding ground, about 550 m offshore, ENE of Scario Light (40°02′9N, 15°29′4E); there are depths of 5. 5 m 200 m NE of it. Smaller vessels can obtain anchorage in depths of about 8 m 100 m off Scario Light; closer inshore the bay shoals rapidly and there are numerous rocks.
