Torre di Pietrenere, a tall, light-coloured, round tower, stands on a rocky spur 1. 5 miles SSW of the mouth of Fiume Petrace. At the foot of the rocky spur the beach terminates at Pietrenere, a group of blackish rocks. A small harbour lies close SW of Torre di Pietrenere, with an outer mole extending about 100 m SSW, and thence the same distance S.
