Forio is a small ferry port and yacht harbour fronting the town. Torrione, a large round tower, stands amongst the houses. Anchorage can be obtained in depths of 13 m 320 m NNE of the harbour entrance on the alignment of Punta Caruso (40°45′5N, 13°51′8E) with the head of Molo di Sporaflutto.
