The village of Brancaleone Marina stands on the coast close NE of Torre Sperlongara. Local knowledge is necessary for the anchorage. Anchorage can be obtained in convenient depths off Brancaleone Marina. There are depths of 10 m, good holding ground about 500 m offshore. However, the anchorage is untenable with winds in the ENE or ESE.
