The seat of the municipality is the town of Velestino, the birthplace of Rigas Feraios or Velestinlis. Keramidi is a village with unique beauty and charm, overlooking the deep blue Aegean Sea. The stone houses and the paved squares with the towering trees, the picturesque taverns and the spotless beaches offer visitors unique moments.

The most important monuments in the area are the Acropol of Feres, the Yperia Krini and the Temple of Zeus Thaflio. The area has a variety of geological formations and a wide variety of natural habitats. Deciduous broadleaf species forests, as well as great variety of bird species exist extensively and satisfactorily preserved.
