Nea Anchialos is located south of Volos and north of Almyros; to the east is washed by Pagasitikos Gulf, northwest and west is surrounded by picturesque hills. Nea Anchialos has controlled vegetation and is surrounded by pine trees, vineyards, olive, almond and fruit trees.

Two small hills, Kokkinovrachos and Mavrorachi give the city its amphitheatrical location overlooking the azure waters of Pagasitikos Gulf. In Kokkinovrachos, there is the church of Prophet Elias and a few meters above a small cave with stalactites and stalagmites. The lacy coast of Nea Anchialos spanning in a radius of 20 km.

A wide variety of coastal creeks and small bays which are skillfully designed by Pagasitikos Gulf . Red sand beaches (ideal for Sandbaths), golden sands, rocky cliffs or broad, ideal for swimming, fishing and water sports. Nea Anchialos is one of the most important cities, with its natural beauty and its important archaeological finds.
