It is a narrow cave,47 m deep with ten little chambers. The view of the Saronic Gulf from the cave is amazing.The Cave of Euripides is situated in an area called Peristeria, 13 km southern from the town of Salamina. The cave had been used during eight different periods, from the Neolithic era to the modern years. Its name comes from the reputation as the place where Euripides wrote his tragedies.
