The Winery of Nemea was founded in 11/05/1937 and originally had 70 members. In 1959, in collaboration with the Greek Wine Institute, the Cooperative Winery made ​​the first experimental bottling of Agiorgitiko. After 76 years of operation and located in the new facilities, the Cooperative Winery has more than 1,000 members - growers of the native red grape variety "Agiorgitiko" – and it has the potential to vinificate up to 10,000 tons of grapes, which makes it one of the largest producers nationwide.
