Sailing Holidays in Ermionida

Ermionida is situated in the Argolida region of the Peloponnese, in mainland Greece. It is rich in historical and cultural heritage, with picturesque traditional small villages and towns. Among them, Porto Cheli, Ermioni, Kilada and Kranidi.

Porto Heli is a modern coastal town and a well established resort for both local and international visitors, as many people have summer homes within the area. It offers many options for water sports, sandy beaches and nightlife. Due to the beautiful climate with plenty of sunshine and light winds, the bay is ideal for all kinds of water activities. It is an area of great natural beauty, especially along the coastline with its numerous sheltered coves and crystal clear water.

Kranidi is the largest town within the Ermionida region and is the capital of the municipality. It is built between the pine-covered slopes of Agia Anna and the ruins of the ancient city of Macitos, which also included Kilada and Fourni. The former is a picturesque traditional fishing village in the Ermionida region with traditional shipbuilding and fishing boat construction yards. The boatyards still make and repair traditional wooden fishing boats, as well as maintaining modern luxury yachts for the residing yachting community.

Ermioni is a beautiful coastal town; here one can enjoy leisurely walks at any time of the day, as there is plenty of shade from the sun. Also, you can swim in the clear blue sea from the rocky coves along the southern side of the Bisti, which overlook the islands of Dokos and Hydra. The sea surrounds the town from three sides, giving the feeling of being on an island, but without the possibility of being stranded in adverse weather conditions.
