Sailing Holidays in Elliniko-Argyroupoli
Elliniko-Argyroupoli is a municipality in the southern part of Athens, next to the beautiful coast of the Saronic Gulf, with wonderful beaches and elegant nightclubs. A modern municipality, it still maintains the features of earlier eras. Elliniko, the seat of the municipality, used to be the home of the Ellinikon International Airport which is now defunct and replaced by Eleftherios Venizelos in Spata. Much of the residential area is in the eastern part of Elliniko, while the western part is smaller.
Forested land dominates around the beaches, and the numerous restaurants bars, and night clubs give the place its characteristic cosmopolitan atmosphere. Argyroupoli is a modern city divided by Vouliagmenis Avenue, a major highway connecting downtown Athens with the southern suburbs. Numerous public bus lines run through Argyroupoli connecting the city with Athens center and Glyfada, the main commercial hubs of the area.
