The beach of Porto Koufo, is found next to the homonymousous settlement. The area has an impressive beauty, with huge rocks raised above a gulf, which resembles a lake, because of the small opening to the sea. Swimming in Porto Koufo is an experience. The deep blue waters have nothing to envy from any exotic destination. The big sandy beach with fine sand completes the picture, which brings in the mind a deserted island. Attention however is needed, because the sea deepens abruptly, calling the boldest to a magnificent dive. At the steep coasts of the gulf,open caves can be found. Ideal for exploration is a cave at the south-eastern side of entry, where you can enter by boat. Porto Koufo is a small quiet fishermen's settlement with a lot of fish-taverns.
