Karlovasi Harbor is a commercial harbor on the NW side of the island of Samos. It is located some distance from the actual town of Karlovasi. It is protected from the meltemi (the Etesians) but has an uncomfortable swell. You can moor stern-to on the quay.

There are a few taverns and not many stores. There is a small marina within the harbor used mostly by local boats; however, arrangement can be made to moor a visiting boat on a temporary vacant berth. But the only serious marina is Samos Marina in Pythagorio.
