The small port of Ouranoúpolis is located near cape Pýrgos, in front of the settlement Ouranoúpolis (960 residents). A mole extending to the west for 78 meters protects the small port from south winds. Its outer (south) side consists of natural boulders and upon its head a light operates.

The depths near its head are 2.6 meters, while near its inner (north) side, which is used for berthing, the depths vary from 2 to 1 meter. Smaller jetties have been placed on both sides of the mole, with depths of less than 1 meter near them.
