A long and wide beach separated by high cliffs. It has pebbles near the sea and sand covers the rest of it. The waters are deep and abrupt. The rocks in the sea create suitable conditions for diving. Around Chiliadou splendid beaches exist, approachable only by boat. Following the road to Metochi you will find the church of Virgin Mary dated from the 12th century. It is said that it is the thousandth church of Virgin Mary (thus naming the nearby beach) and built by the Byzantine Empress Theodora, after a big storm when ships found shelter at Chiliadou.
