Korission Lake is an excellent place for bird watching. It is located in the south-western part of Corfu and provides an important ecosystem for a range of species, and a stopping area for migrating birds from Africa. Being part of Natura 2000 network, visitors can meet there more than 2000 birds on and around the lake. Here visitors may spot a variety of passage and wintering birds, including birds of prey like Eleonora’s and Red-footed Falcons.Other birds seen there are European flamingos, Pygmy Cormorants, Great White Egrets, swans, herons and Marsh Harriers.
