The pebbly beach of Kolymbia is situated at a distance of some 24 kilometers southern to the town of Rhodes, within a small cove. As it is very close to the famous Epta Piges (seven springs), just 6 kilometers far away, the place is overgrown, with a family, quiet, but also modern atmosphere. Although a rapidly developing resort, it has not lost its calmness and attracts many people wishing to enjoy a nice, pretty organized beach without big crowds around. Several alternatives of accommodation are available in the new or recently restored hotels of the resort, but also in the area around. Some taverns and cafes, most of them close enough to the sea are available for eating and drinking. Kolymbia is a very nice beach, pretty well organized, with sunbathing and swimming facilities (sun beds, umbrellas) and sea sports. It attracts many people and it is one of the favorite beaches of German tourists. The sea is very clean, with crystal clear blue water and a nice green landscape around, very nice for taking photos. And, if you like fishing, you will find the ideal place for catching small or bigger fishes. Access to Kolymbia is possible by taxi and rented or private car and motorbikes.
