Sailing Holidays in Leipsoi

Lipsi is a small island, east of Patmos and north of Leros. The island has no tourist development and keeps its authentic Aegean identity. It is the ideal summer destination for those seeking calm and privacy. The graphic settlement with white houses extends around the port.

In the central square you will find taverns and traditional coffeehouses. Locals and travelers become one and are entertained with traditional music and red wine. Important sites in the island are its churches. Situated on a hill is the church of Saint John built in the 16th century in the interior of which the icon of Panagia Mavri is saved.

Another important church is Panagia of Haros, dated from the 17th century that was named after the icon of Panagia holding Christ in her hands. The folkloric – ecclesiastic museum of the island is also nice to see. The beaches of Lipsi are famous for their crystal clear waters. In the island you will find beaches with sand and others with pebbles.
