The port of Emporeió is protected by a curved mole, which begins from the northwest limit of the port and extends for approximately 110 m to the northeast where it turns and extends for 105 m to the northeast.

Its outer side is protected by natural rocks while its inner side is quayed, with depths of 3.5 m (at its extremity) that decrease steadily, reaching up to 0.5 m at the inner part of the quay. The opening of the port’s entrance that is formed between the mole and the southeastern shores of the port is approximately 130 m, with nearby depths of approximately 5 m.
