Sailing Holidays in Kefalas Caves

It is located near Pothia, beyond the Monastery of St. Catherine in Kefalas area. It is a 100 meter long cave covered by huge stalactites and stalagmites. It is accessible by boat.The cave is, also known as Cave of Zeus, as mythology says that it was used as a place of worship to Zeus. The cave is open to the public daily, from 08:30 to 14:00, except from Tuesday and Thursday. The guardian in the entrance of the cave provides visitors with a helmet that bears light but a flashlight is necessary.
