Sailing Holidays in Byzantine Art Museum of Paros

The Byzantine Art museum of Paros is located in the center of village Marpissa. The building was used to be a catholic school during the Turkish domination. It includes many religious exhibits from the Byzantine and Post-Byzantine times. Also there are holy icons from the 15th and the 16th century. There are exhibits, as worship articles, sculptures of the Roman and the Venetian period, icons by Parian and Cretan painters of the 12th and the 13th century and the unique part of fresco that was preserved in the Byzantine church of the 12th century, in Protoria of Naoussa.The most important icons, hosted in museum are the Prayer, the Deposition and the Virgin Mary holding baby Jesus.
