Ios is known for the vivid nightlife, the heart of clubbing in whole Cyclades, as many said. It is famous for its wild and crazy nightlife since the 1980s when hippies first came to these wonderful Cycladic island. There are few beach bars in Ormos and Mylopotas, but most of the night fun is concentrated in Chora. There are numerous bars and clubs with all kind of music, from jazz and reggae to R&B. Every night, the capital of Ios is becoming a huge party scene where people drink, dance and have fun until dawn. The picturesque streets get full with people laughing, dancing and singing together. Although it is mostly preferred by teenagers, it is a great place for all ages.
