Small beach located in the northernmost part of the west coast of the island in a bay. The area is uninhabited and the beach is probably the most remote island. The name comes from a large tamarisk which dominates the rocky beach with the branches to reach almost above the sea. The beach is exposed to northerly and westerly winds, but is too quiet, with very clear water. Perfect beach for nude bathing, fishing and snorkelling. Of course, you understand that there is not any kind of organization, so to arrange the necessary (water, sunscreen, umbrella, hat, medicine and food). Access is by boat. On foot you can get from Ano Meria, starting from the chapel of Chrisopigi and following the trail for nearly an hour. In the middle of total travel around, you must turn right and follow another path inaccessible to you to the sea.
