The municipality of Velo-Vocha lies 18 km west of Corinth. It stretches south to the limits of the municipality of Nemea, west to the Asopos river and the Sykionion municipality; to the north it is bordered by the Corinthian Gulf and to the east by the Corinth municipality.
Its economy is based on one hand on tourism coastal settlements such as, Vrachati, which has a remarkable beach, awarded a Blue Flag by the European Union; on the other hand on agriculture, developed in its inner part in the southern settlements. One of the biggest towns, the Zefgolateio, has several processing plants for packaging and maintenance of agricultural products.
In the semi-mountainous volume of the municipality there are remarkable religious monuments, such as the Monastery of the Life Giving Source Fokas, the Byzantine church of Agios Nikolaos in Evaggelistria and the Holy Trinity in Zefgolateio which enhance the development of tourism in the region.
