Posedarje is situated 23 km northeast from Zadar on the coast of the Novigrad Sea in the vicinity of the Velebit Mountain, so it is a spot where the mountain climate and the Mediterranean climate mix. Because of the mentioned location it is of crucial traffic importance since it connects the state roads that bind the south of Croatia with its north and west. It has a turbulent history marked with frequent Turkish invasions in the 16th and 17th century. For your full vacationing experience we must mention that the beaches are gravely, but except for sea activities we recommend that you take advantage of the vicinity of Velebit and go hiking, go on a jeep safari or visit the cave Modrič.
