Sailing Holidays in Luka Vodice

Luka Vodice (43°45′N 15°47′E) is situated on the mainland coast in a bay, E of Rt Križa, forming the NE head of Vodice anchorage. The small town of Vodice is a holiday resort with several large hotels and stretches around the bay mainly on the NW side. One of the best anchorages in the area can be obtained about midway between Pličina Vodice and Rt Sveti Luce, 0. 7 miles SSE in 15 to 17 m good holding, sand. However this berth is exposed to the Scirocco which raises a considerable sea. In winter the Bora can blow furiously and anchorage off Luka Šepurine is then to be preferred. Small vessels can anchor nearer to the town at a distance of at least 370 meters E of Rt Križa; closer inshore the bottom is rocky.
