Gradac is a tourist resort located near Makarska half way between Split and Dubrovnik. The population is involved in agriculture, fishing, olive growing and, more recently, tourism and catering. Even though the area of Gradac was inhabited in the ancient times, it was first mentioned as an urban settlement in 1649. Today it is a famous tourist destination with all the necessary catering and tourist facilities.
