Sailing Holidays in Luka Vrsar
The small town of Vrsar (45°09′N 13°36′E) stands on a steep hill on the E side of the harbour and is dominated on its N side by a castle with a belfry. There are limestone quarries on the hillsides. The town is known for its wine and oysters, and has an active tourist industry. The limestone used in the construction of Venezia was quarried from Otočić Galiner. The best anchorage, suitable only for coasters, is situated about 280 meters SE of Otočić Galiner Light in 9 to 17 m mud, good holding, with hawsers to the shore NE.
