Luka Slano is entered between Rt Donji (42°47′N 17°52′E) and Rt Gornji, about 370 meters SSE. A television mast stands on Bijelo on the NW side. The small town of Slano is situated at the NE head of the harbour. The harbour is landlocked and is better protected from the Scirocco than any other anchorage in Koločepski Kanal but the Bora is severely felt. Winds, and the land breeze which generally blows at night, facilitate the departure of sailing vessels.
