Approaching Nea Poteidaia from Sani you will find a series of beaches where the trees are almost close to the wave. Many camping sites offer an alternative to the organized sections of the coastal area. The sand and light blue dominates.
Located between Gerakini and Olynthos, the sandy beach of Kalyves existed in the site of the ancient city Mikiverna which was independent and important, due to its location and port of the famous ancient city of Olynthos. No systematic excavations in the area of the ancient city have taken place however.
From Psakoudia to Kalyves beach, Polygyros unfolds the enormous, lovely sandy beach of Gerakini with a market for shopping, food, souvenirs, footpath for walks, playground, marine sports (banana, ski, tyre, canoe, marine bicycle k.a), taverns, ouzo selling restaurants, bars.
The village of Kallithea, in the western coast of Kassandra, is a popular tourist destination, because of its marvelous sandy beach--most popular with the youth-- and its important archaeological and religious sights. Pure white sand, beach bars in the line and a pine rock that characterizes the beautiful creek, with tree branches lean in waters.
The sand unfolds for miles and famed bars interfere with the pure white beach with fine sand in a verdant and hilly background. Famous for its atmospheric sunsets, Skala Fourkas is a modern touristic center with a nice beach and a plethora of rented rooms, fish-taverns and bars.
